Sergio Aguero is the toast of Argentina as he scored two second half goals, and an assist, to shut out the Brazilians.  Argentina played a great match with intelligence and personality. "It was Argentina's best match in the Olympics so far," Batista said. "It was a well-deserved result." It was the first victory for Argentina against Brazil in three years. It hadn't beaten Brazil since a 3-1 victory in a World Cup qualifier in June 2005. Now they face Nigeria in a rematch of the 1996 Olympic final in Atlanta, where the African nation won 3-2 for their first and only title.

The hype of Lionel Messi vs Ronaldinho was one for the ages. Both players showed off their skills, but Messi threatened the most and created dangerous scoring chances for Argentina. Messi assisted in the first and second goals, while Ronaldinho could only find the wood work. After Argentina’s first goal, Brazilian striker Rafael Sobis almost equalized with a powerful low shot that struck the post in the 60th. Ronaldinho also hit the post on a free kick in the 65th. Substitute forward Alexandre Pato scored after the free kick, but the goal was disallowed for offside. It could have been a different match if those shots had found the back of the net.

Brazil still has a chance to save face with a bronze medal match against Belgium, on Friday August 22.Stay tuned to Point-Spreads.com for Olympic Soccer Betting Odds.

Nigeria earned a spot in the gold medal final after Olubayo Adefemi opened the match's scoring in the 16th minute. Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi scored a pair of second half goals, including an absolute rocket from nearly 30 metres out. His goal is sure to be the goal of the games. Chibuzor Okonkwo added the fourth goal of the game and that was all she wrote for Belgium. Nigeria scored a total of 10 goals and gave up only two throughout the Olympics. The Nigerians put on an impressive style of play with some dazzling foot work by their forwards.
