Bodog Poker Mac Friendly Poker Client Available NowPoint-Spreads.com expects to see a re-energized Bodog making an aggressive push back on the online poker scene in 2009 with their new Mac friendly flash based poker client. Even in a recession, Apple Inc. managed to sell more Macs in the December 2008 than it did in December 2007.  According to preliminary numbers released by Gartner and IDC this month, Apple sold some 1.2 million Macs in the U.S. during the quarter, representing between 7.2% and 8% market share for the quarter, up year over year.

“I know several online poker players that will be migrating over to Bodog Poker now that they have a Mac friendly flash based poker client,” stated Point-Spreads.com Publisher Thomas Jensen. “Bodog was the first online gambling company to begin to scale back operations in early 2008 in order to remain lean during the economic downturn, a move that will benefit the company in 2009.  Affiliates I have spoken to have noticed Bodog has vastly improved their conversion rates with payouts under a week.”

Bodog Poker has already given away eleven $12,000 World Series of Poker* prize packages in 2009 and more are up for grabs.  The Bodog Poker Open (BPO) will be back for its third installment tentatively scheduled for Spring 2009.

“2009 is going to be packed with exciting new events, promotions and contests across all Bodog channels, with some pretty impressive prizes and prize packages up for grabs,” stated Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) CEO Alwyn Morris (MMGG is the exclusive licensee of the Bodog online gaming brand in North America). “We’re going to make 2009 one of Bodog’s best years yet!”

Besides the Mac friendly online poker client, Bodog Poker will be adding a monthly player driven Q&A section to the site where players will submit Poker questions to be answered by Bodog Poker Pro Justin Bonomo.

“I have not been able to play poker at Bodog since migrating from PC to MAC so this announcement is music to my ears,” stated online poker addict Bones McCoy of OffshorePokerRoom.com. “I just hit my Super Bowl bet on the Cardinals +7 in the Bodog Sportsbook and will use my winnings this weekend in the Bodog Poker Sunday $100,000 GUARANTEED  for $100 + $9 Buy at 4 PM EST.”

Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) is located in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake just outside Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission to offer gaming services from Kahnawake to users worldwide. The Antiguan-based Bodog has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with MMGG to allow this group to use various elements of the Bodog brand within North America to support MMGG's marketing activities. MMGG is led by Olympic Gold medalist, Order of Canada recipient and First Nations' leader Alwyn Morris.

Bodog has its head office, and is licensed in, the Caribbean nation of Antigua. The Bodog group of companies includes an online Sportsbook, Casino, Poker Room and a suite of other world-class gaming products. Bodog does not offer "for money" gaming services in North America. Gaming services offered and operated in North America under the Bodog brand are made available exclusively by Morris Mohawk Gaming Group.
