2010 NBA Finals: Lakers at Celtics Game 4 Odds & Picks

by Matt Foust on Thursday, June 10th, 2010

2010 NBA Finals Lakers at Celtics Game 4 Odds & Picks: The Lakers and Celtics are at it again this evening in a pivotal game four meeting at the TD Garden in Boston. Tip off is set for 9:00pm ET on ABC. 2010 NBA Finals Game 4 Odds & Picks at SPORTSBETTING.com have the Celtics listed as a -3.5 against the spread home favorite; the game total is set at 190.

Boston stole home court advantage away from the Los Angeles on Sunday night with a game two victory at the STAPLES 2010 NBA Finals: Lakers at Celtics Game 4 Odds & PicksCenter, but the Lakers wasted little time returning the favor on Tuesday. Kobe Bryant and company won their third consecutive game at the Garden with a 91-84 game three victory to give them a 2-1 series lead.

The Lakers were anything but scintillating on offense, shooting a pedestrian 44.7 percent from the field and a nightmarish 2-of-15 from beyond the arc; however, their defense and a clutch offensive performance from Derek Fisher in the fourth quarter were enough to turn the Celtics away.

Boston connected on 32 of its 73 field goal attempts and just four of its 18 attempts for three point range. Ray Allen, who set a record on Sunday for number of three point shots hit in an NBA Finals game, had, perhaps, the worst follow up outing in the history of the league. The sharp shooting guard went 0-for-13 from the field, which included eight misses from long range; he had just two points on the night, those coming from the charity stripe.

Fisher, a surprise candidate to take over in crunch time, especially on a team loaded with stars, finished the game with 16 points, 11 of which came in a big fourth quarter. Bryant struggled his way to 29 points on 10-of-29 shooting (1-for-7 from three point range) while Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol combined for just 25 points.

Kevin Garnett led the way for Boston with 25 points; Paul Pierce added 15 and Rajon Rondo scored 11.

Boston's loss on Tuesday was their fourth in their last six playoff games, a sign the Celtics may be losing some steam. They had better find a way to recover tonight or this series will be all but over.

2010 NBA Finals Betting Trend: The Celtics are just 2-8 straight up and against the spread in their last 10 games as a home favorite with a spread between 0 and 3.5 and total between 185 and 190.
