2010 NBA Draft Odds: The 2010 NBA Draft presented by EA Sports will take place tonight at the Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN starting at 7:00pm ET. For the latest 2010 NBA Draft Odds, including odds on John Wall and Evan Turner, visit online bookmaker Sportsbook.com today.
Most draft pundits consider Kentucky point guard John Wall a lock for the first pick in tonight's draft proceedings. Wall was
a highly touted recruit last year and did not disappoint as a freshman for the Wildcats, averaging 16.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. The 19 year old North Carolina native, along with fellow freshman and NBA lottery prospect DeMarcus Cousins, led Kentucky to a 35-3 overall record and a No.1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats season concluded with a 66-73 loss to West Virginia in the Elite Eight, but Wall produced 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals in the losing effort.
Washington, which finished the season in last place in the Southeast Division with a 26-56 record, could certainly use Wall's enormous skill set, especially with the likely departure of the beleaguered Gilbert Arenas. The Wizards ranked 26th and 27th in the league in points (96.2) and assists per game (19), respectively.
The 76ers, which have the second pick in tonight's draft, are expected to take Ohio State Guard/Forward Evan Turner. The 6' 7" Chicago product won AP Player of the Year honors this year after averaging 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and six assists per game as a junior. Turner also led the Buckeyes to a 29-8 record and a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Tonight's NBA Draft Lottery Order: Washington, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Minnesota, Sacramento, Golden State, Detroit, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah, Indiana, New Orleans, Memphis, Toronto, Houston.
