The Week 7 college football schedule opened on Tuesday night with a meeting between Sun Belt rivals Arkansas State and South Alabama. The Red Wolves scored a 49-31 road win to improve to 2-0 in league action. The remainder of the week night schedule features plenty of conference play as well, but no match up bigger than tonight’s showdown between No. 18 UCLA and No. 15 Stanford in Palo Alto.
The latest College Football Point Spreads from offshore bookmaker Bovada.lv have the Cardinal pegged as a -7 favorite in the North/South clash. The Bruins suffered their first loss of the season their last time out, falling 23-38 at Arizona State on October 4.
Stanford has not lost since its season opener at Northwestern, earning double digit wins over UCF, USC, Oregon State and Arizona.
The Cardinal have seven in a row against the Bruins and they went 6-1 against the spread in those games. Stanford is also 6-0 straight up and 5-1 against the spread in its last six games playing as a favorite opposite UCLA.
Also on tap tonight are meetings between Auburn and Kentucky and Western Kentucky and North Texas. The Tigers are a lined as a 2.5 point favorite against the hosting Wildcats while the Mean Green are a 33.5 point home underdog to the Hilltoppers.
Friday night’s lineup features what should be an entertaining non-conference dust up between Cincinnati and BYU as well as conference battles between Houston and Tulane, Boise State and Utah State and UNLV and Fresno State.
Bronco Mendenhall’s crew are the only home favorite of the bunch, though, with a -6.5 spread. The Green Wave, Aggies and Bulldogs are drawing +19.5, +10 and +7 lines as hosts.
