Notre Dame at USC College Football Prediction: Betting Line-USC by -31 ½ (Total 49); Television-ESPN; Kick-off 8 pm ET; Los Angeles Coliseum; Betting Lines provided by BetUS.com.
How big is this game? From a national standpoint it’s not very big unless you’re Charlie Weiss and you want to keep your job. Yes that’s right…we are hearing that Weiss’ job could be on the line and even a win here might not be enough for the rotund Irish coach to keep his job. But don’t worry about USC losing this one. Not going to happen!
The Trojans have won their last six games against the Irish by an average of 25.7 points including last years 38-0 beat down at Notre Dame Stadium.
USC is averaging 38 points a game, which is 14th in the country. Rushing for 209 yards a game, 18th in the country. That's 5.4 per carry by the way. They're averaging 242 passing in the game, which is 30th in the country and 451 yards overall, which is 14th in the country.
When USC gets in the red zone, they score touchdowns 69% of the time. A lot of that starts with Mark Sanchez at quarterback. He moves well in the pocket, moves well out of the pocket. He's got a very strong arm. He's got a stable of running backs to give the ball to. Lately they've been playing three guys significantly. Looks like Gable as of late has been the number one go to guy, although Stafon Johnson and Joe McKnight, all three of them, see extensive time.
Tonight’s game is a mis-match and probably a pretty good bet too. While we don’t like throwing out guarantees on four and five touchdown spreads, this one has some value.
