Gunners have what it takes to land Premiership crownArsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his side are showing the ability required to maintain a genuine fight for the Premiership title after Dutch ace Robin van Persie scored the goal that sent the Gunners back to the top of the Premier League. Arsenal are now 11 to 5 odds second favourites to win the English Premiership with Bodog.

The Gunners were winning easily at 2-0 up against visitors Sunderland after only 15 minutes but Wenger's men then lost their focus as Roy Keane´s side hauled themselves back into the match at 2-2. However, Van Persie´s neat finish following some great skills by substitute Theo Walcott earned them the three points.

Said Wenger: "It was the first time since we were at the top of the league that we had been a bit challenged. At the end of the day it was a good lesson for us maturing, because again we still found the resources which showed that there is something in the team which is really strong. After 15 minutes, the game looked to be easy and maybe we convinced ourselves of that as well. Part of our mental focus went and when you do that at this level you pay for it."

The Frenchman continues to urge cautious optimism for just what this team can achieve whenever he speaks to the media. With such a fine start to the season the bookies are marking Arsenal out as genuine title contenders. Indeed, such is their form right now many are comparing this side to the Invincibles of 2003-04 that went on a record breaking unbeatable run. Manchester United are 3 to 2 odds favourites at Bodog.

Wenger added: "It is too early, but what is a good sign is there is a great resilience in the team and that they do not panic. The potential is there to be very good, but the competition at that level in the Premier League is very difficult. We still had problems against Sunderland, who are down the league, and that shows we have to stay humble and work for each other."
