Pacquiao vs Cotto Fight Odds at online bookmaker Bodog.com have the Filipino listed as -280 moneyline favorite. Manny Pacquiao comes into this 145lbs. catchweight fight with a 49-3-2 professional record. He last fought in May of this year when he garnered the IBO Lightweight Championship with a second round knockout of veteran Ricky Hatton. The 5' 6" General Santos City native has won his last 10 fights; his last defeat came back in March of 2005 against Erik Morales (unanimous decision). He has since beaten Morales twice, once by TKO and once by KO. Pacquiao, who currently bears the moniker of Ring Magazine's #1 Pound-for-Pound fighter, is known for his great quickness and vicious knockout power. Thirty-seven of the southpaw's 49 career wins have come via knockout. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddy Roach, feels that power will be on display again tomorrow night. "I am very confident in my guy and we are 100-percent ready for this fight," Roach said. "I feel like Manny, with the power he is punching with right now, at this weight...is going to knock Cotto out. I look forward to the win." Miguel Cotto, who hails from Caguas, Puerto Rico, enters tomorrow's fight with a 34-1 record, his only setback coming at the hands of Antonio Margarito in July of 2008. Since that loss, Cotto has gone on to capture the vacant WBO welterweight title with a fifth round TKO of Michael Jennings in February of this year. He successfully defended that title in June, scoring a split decision win over Joshua Clottey. Cotto, who is a durable fighter and devastating body puncher (27 knockouts), has faced and beaten some great fighters, including Zab Judah and Shane Mosley, but Pacquiao will be his toughest test to date. However, the 29 year old seems undeterred by the Filipino's record or accomplishments. "If he (Pacquiao) thinks he is going to win seven titles in seven different weight divisions now, he has picked the wrong moment, the wrong fighter and the wrong opponent," Cotto said.
