Point-Spreads.com is recommending that all readers go out and fill up their gas tanks before they announce the winner of the Iranian Presidential Election results this weekend. If Mir Hossein Mousavi does not win the Iranian Presidential Election, their could be riots in the streets of Tehran. Mousavi is a 11 to 10 odds underdog to win the Iranian Presidential Elections.
Before the Iranian Presidential Election results are announced, Mousavi has announced during campaigning this week he would engage the United States in diplomacy, while the hard liner President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continues to talk tough against the West. The political betting odds makers at internet sportsbook BetUS.com has made the President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the 10 to 13 favorite over Mousavi.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fears social unrest from the youth of the country which widely back Mousavi. The head of the IRGC political bureau stated: “Any move in line with a velvet revolution in Iran will be crushed at its inception.”
The Obama administration clearly tried to influence the election with the recent tour of the region which included a speech in Cairo, Egypt directed to the Muslim world by President Barack Obama. It would be a big set back to President Obama's middle east peace plan if Ahmadinejad is re-elected.
BetUS.com has posted political betting odds on who will win the Iranian National Election?
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 10/13 Mir-Hossein Mousavi 11/10 Mohsen Rezaei 5/1 Mehdi Karroubi 7/1
BetUS.com has posted political betting odds on whether there will be a run off be required to decide the winner?
Yes 10/13 No 10/11 |

Did self proclaimed $50 Billion dollar Ponzi Schemer Bernie Madoff execute a single trade while running his fraudulent scam? Regulators are trying to get at the heart of the matter but the early evidence suggests he did not. Bernie Madoff was a 50 year veteran of Wall Street and a former chairman of the Nasdaq Stock Market.
"Our exams showed no evidence of trading on behalf of the investment advisor, no evidence of any customer statements being generated by the broker-dealer," stated Financial Industry Regulatory Authority spokesman Herb Perone.
US Prosecutors drug Madoff back to court earlier this week in an attempt to revoke his bail and argued that he violated a court-ordered asset freeze when he was caught mailing out jewelry to relatives. Bernie showed up at the courthouse wearing a bulletproof vest under a dark overcoat. The online sportsbook BetUS.com has posted even money 1 to 1 betting odds that Bernie Madoff will be assaulted by someone before he goes to trial.
Judge Lawrence McKenna ruled in favor of the Ponzi Scheme master-mind and allowed Madoff to remain free on $10 million bail stating: "I think the chances of Mr. Madoff fleeing at this point are as close to nil as you can get in any bail package."
Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC is being marketed to potential bidders. With earnings of just $1.12 million last year, according to Lazard, and a “tarnished” brand, the company may get an offer of eight times profit or fail to draw bids at all, said Larry Tabb, founder of TABB Group, a financial-market research and advisory firm.
“If folks are looking at the sale of the broker-dealer to make up the $50 billion that was lost from the Ponzi scheme, I am not sure they will be happy with the outcome,” stated financial-markets research and advisory firm TABB Group’s Founder Larry Tabb in an email to Bloomberg. “I can’t see how they would get more than $10 million.”
Online sportsbook BetUS.com has posted the following betting odds on the Bernard Madoff Scandal:
Will Bernard Madoff be physically assaulted before going to trial? Yes: 1/1 No: 5/7
How many years in prison will Bernard Madoff be sentenced to? 19½ - 5/6 19½ - 5/6
Will the US Attorney successfully revoke Bernard Madoff's bail before he goes to trial? Yes - 5/8 No - 6/5 |

Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain jokingly told viewers of the Weekend Update on SNL that he would deploy a few new strategies in the final days of his campaign including the Double Maverick "where I go totally berserker and just freak everybody out."
A pit boss friend of Point-Spreads.com saw Arizona Senator John McCain going Double Maverick at a craps table in Las Vegas several years ago during a prize fight gambling weekend but that story will have to wait for another day. What I want to know is will John McCain go Double Maverick in his Presidential Concession Speech? Well, I would not put it past the aging Arizona Senator after a disorganized and erratic 2008 Presidential Campaign.
The oddsmakers at BetUS.com have posted political betting odds on when Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain will give his concession speech and it looks like its going to be an early night for the Republican Party. Tuesday November 4th is the favorite at -400 odds with Wednesday November 5th listed at +250 odds. Point-Spreads.com thinks Wednesday the 5th is a great value bet.
Barack Obama is a huge -1000 election odds favorite and if the prediction markets are accurate the Illinois Senator will make history as the first African American when he is named the 44th President of the United States. Do your civic duty and make sure to get to the polls today to vote for your candidate.
BetUS.com posted political betting odds on when Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain will give his Presidential Concession Speech :

History has shown that the predictions markets are extremely accurate at determining the outcome of political events and with 55% of the betting public on Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, it looks like the Illinois Senator will be named the 44th President of the United States. Sportsbook.com predicts Barack Obama will earn 313 votes compared to 225 for John McCain. The election odds posted by Sportsbook.com show Barack Obama as a heavy -1000 odds favorite (Bet $1000 to win $100).
Most political analysis will agree the winner of the 2008 Presidential Election will be determined by a few key battle ground states including New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Missouri and Nevada. McCain must secure Pennsylvania and run the table on the rest of the battle ground states in order to have a chance to win. CNN's poll of polls calculated Monday shows Obama leading McCain 51 percent to 43 percent in the state, with 6 percent unsure.
Obama and Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain both have a busy campaign schedule planned over the next 24 hours heading into the home stretch. The election odds at Sportsbook.com on Arizona Senator chances to be named the 44th President of the United States show him as a +500 underdog (Bet $100 to win $500). Republican operative Karl Rove predicts the outcome of the Electoral College Map will show Obama 338 and McCain 200 however Point-Spreads.com does not believe that Senator McCain will win more than 175.

The election odds are stacked against Arizona Senator John McCain and his Republican Party in 2008. The Republican brand is damaged and the Democrats should secure control of both houses of Congress and have their President in the White House. Barack Obama is a heavy favorite to be named the 44th President of the United States but that does not mean bettors should take the -1000 election odds.
Most political analysis will agree the winner of the 2008 Presidential Election will be determined by a few key battle ground states including New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Missouri and Nevada. McCain must take Pennsylvania out of the Obama column and run the table on the rest of the battle ground states in order to have a chance to win. CNN's poll of polls calculated Monday shows Obama leading McCain 51 percent to 43 percent in Pennsylvania, with 6 percent unsure.
